Puri: The pulling of chariots in Puri was halted for the day after dusk.
While Taladhwaja-the chariot of Lord Balabhadra reached the Saradhabali in front of the Shree Gundicha Temple, the Darpadalana-the chariot of Devi Subhadra halted at Badasankha and Nandighosha-the chariot of Lord Jagannath halted near the Mausima Temple before Balagandi Chhak.
Since the two chariots-Darpadalana and Nandighosha have not reached Saradhabali in front of the Shree Gundicha Temple pulling of these chariots will resume tomorrow after conduct of certain rituals at around 9 AM, said a sevayat (servitor) of the temple.
Devotees will get yet another opportunity to pull the chariots of Devi Subhadra and Lord Jagannath tomorrow.
