Berhampur: Satyanarayan Maharana from Berhampur in Odisha has again created an arresting miniature replica of Nandighosha chariot of Lord Jagannath by using bamboo.
The chariot is 20 inches in height and 13 inches in width. It is an exact replica of the Nandighosha chariot of Rath Yatra in Puri.
He has also made another miniature chariot of 7 inches in height and 6 inches in width using ice-cream sticks. It took Maharana a total of five days to complete the artwork.
Maharana’s 1.3 cm-high miniature replica of Nandighosha had been recognized by the ‘Exclusive World Records’ (EWR) as the world’s smallest chariot in 2020.
In 2021, EWR and the India Book of Records recognized him for making the “smallest statue of Lord Jagannath (wooden)” having a size of 1 mm.
