Balasore: Locals of Khunta on Friday made a ration shop owner walk a distance of three kilometres for irregularity in the disbursement of controlled commodities.
According to reports, the dealer in question had withheld disbursement for four months which had enraged the villagers. Today, they forced the dealer to walk the distance up to the panchayat office where the former made a formal plea before the Sarpanch.
Upon the Sarpach’s intervention, the control dealer promised to clear the backlogs and facilitate the pending items immediately.
