Bhubaneswar: As Durga Puja festivities are to come to an end with Ravan Podi or Ravan Dahan on the occasion of Vijaya Dashami, the episode of Hindu god Ram killing demon king Ravan is to be enacted at four places in Bhubaneswar today.
Huge effigies of Ravana, his son Meghnad and brother Kumbhakarna to mark the triumph of good over evil are to be torched at,
1. Nayapalli
2. Jharpada
3. Baramunda
4. Rasulgarh
People going to watch the Ravan Podi have to follow the precautionary guidelines issued by the Commissionerate Police. They have to maintain a distance of 100 metres from the spot where the effigies will be set on fire.
Besides, organisers of the event have also been asked to make separate entry and exit points for smooth management of traffic.
