Bhubaneswar: In the wake of the tragic self-immolation of FM College student Soumyashree Bisi, Ravenshaw University has issued new guidelines to ensure the safety and well-being of its female students and employees.

According to the new directives, no female faculty member, female employee, or female student will be allowed to stay on campus after 5:30 pm.

The university’s registrar’s office has issued a circular stating that these guidelines will remain in effect until a formal Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is put in place.

The decision is reportedly aimed at ensuring the safety and security of female students and staff on campus, as well as regulating working hours.
