Rayagada Teenager Loses Palm, Fingers In Cracker Explosion, Critical

**Rayagada: ** In yet another cracker explosion mishap in Odisha on Thursday, one 19-year-old youth has lost his one palm and fingers of the other palm.

While the crude bomb explosion has severed his left side palm, all the fingers of his right hand have been annihilated in the mishap.

The critically injured teenager has been identified as Santosh Behera of Raniguda village near the DFO office here.

He is undergoing treatment at MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur and his condition was stated to be critical.

Notably, cracker explosion casulaties are being reported since Wednesday (eve of Diwali) from steel city Rourkela, Pipili and Balasore. Balasore incident has been the severest as it has claimed about nine lives, including kids and women in all the cases.

Even Odisha Chief Minister on Wednesday evening has announced ex-gratia for the Balasore victims.
