Bhubaneswar: Sujit Sahoo, the main accused in the obscene Facebook posts of Rama Devi Women’s University students was sent to a 3-day crime branch remand on Tuesday. Sahoo was arrested earlier in the day from Mahanga near Cuttack.

However, while coming out of the court, the accused claimed that he had nothing to do with the posts and he is being trapped.

Notably, a facebook page named Aarohi Creations posted the pictures of some students of this reputed women’s college with abusive caption “sex contest” and numbering the girls, without their knowledge.

Around 40 girls from the four major colleges in the twin city met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik a day before to express their solidarity in favor of the Rama Devi Women's University Students whose pictures were posted on social media with some derogatory captions and had demanded a Crime Branch probe into the Facebook fiasco.
