Regulation Of Trains In View of Modernisation Work In Khurda Road Division

Bhubaneswar: In connection with safety related modernisation works in the Khurda Road Division, there will be changes in the pattern of train services. These measures are essential to ensure the safe and efficient execution of critical infrastructure upgrades aimed at improving reliability and passenger safety.

Accordingly, some trains will be cancelled and short-terminated/short-originated on selected dates during December 2025.

Cancellation of Trains

The following passenger trains will remain cancelled on specified dates in December 2025:

  • 68419 Bhubaneswar–Palasa MEMU will remain cancelled on 9th, 11th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 18th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 25th, 28th, 29th and 30th December 2025.
  • 68420 Palasa–Bhubaneswar MEMU will remain cancelled on 10th, 12th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 19th, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 26th, 29th, 30th and 31st December 2025.

The following trains will remain cancelled on 11th, 12th, 15th, 16th, 18th, 19th, 22nd, 23rd, 25th, 26th, 29th and 30th December 2025:

  • 18021 Kharagpur–Khurda Road Express
  • 18022 Khurda Road–Kharagpur Express
  • 68424 Cuttack–Bhadrak MEMU
  • 68423 Bhadrak–Cuttack MEMU

Short-Termination / Short-Origination

The following MEMU and passenger trains will be short-terminated or short-originated at intermediate stations on different dates:

  • 58532 Visakhapatnam–Brahmapur Passenger will be short-terminated at Palasa on 9th, 11th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 18th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 25th, 28th, 29th and 30th December 2025.
  • 58531 Brahmapur–Visakhapatnam Passenger will be short-originated from Palasa on 10th, 12th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 19th, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 26th, 29th, 30th and 31st December 2025.
  • 68445 Cuttack–Palasa MEMU will be short-terminated at Sompeta on 9th, 11th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 18th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 25th, 28th, 29th and 30th December 2025.
  • 68446 Palasa–Cuttack MEMU will be short-originated from Sompeta on 10th, 12th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 19th, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 26th, 29th, 30th and 31st December 2025.
  • 68411/68412 Bhubaneswar–Brahmapur–Bhubaneswar MEMU will be short-terminated and short-originated at Balugaon on 10th, 12th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 19th, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 26th, 29th, 30th and 31st December 2025.

Passengers are advised to verify the status of their trains before commencing their journey through official railway enquiry systems, websites, or helplines. East Coast Railway seeks the cooperation of passengers, as these temporary changes are necessary for long-term benefits such as enhanced safety and improved punctuality.

East Coast Railway remains committed to upgrading its infrastructure to provide safer, faster, and more reliable train services.
