Puri: Akash Ambani, son of renowned industrialist Mukesh Ambani, visited the Jagannath Temple in Puri last night.
According to reports, Ambani reached the temple around 1:15 am. Ambani was warmly welcomed by the temple administration and police near the Singhadwara gate. His visit took place shortly after the completion of the Banakalagi ritual.
Ambani offered prayers to Lord Jagannath, accompanied by his hereditary priest, Jagannath Kar and witnessed the Bada Singhara Besha. He seemed delighted during the darshan, said his priest. Ambani was also gifted a traditional Khandua pata by the temple administration near the Singhadwara gate.
It is learnt that the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration and Odisha Police put in place elaborate security arrangements to manage the crowds and ensure a seamless darshan experience.
