Bhubaneswar: Repolling is underway at two polling booths in Kandhamal district amid tight security arrangements, on Thursday.
The voting began at 7 am at booths no 26 and 28 of Kantamal assembly seat, falling under the Kandhamal parliamentary constituency and will continue till 4 pm.
Apart from police personnel, two magistrates have been appointed to ensure free and fair elections.
It is pertinent to note that polling was held in these two booths of the Kantamal assembly seat along with 34 other assembly segments and five Lok Sabha seats on May 20.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) decided to conduct repolling following allegations of booth rigging in the Kantamal constituency during the second phase election held on May 20.
