Bhubaneswar: Computerised Reservation Counters (CSCs) of the East Coast Railway (ECoR) opened for booking of Reservation Tickets today.
According to a press release issued by ECoR today, Passenger Reservation System (PRS) resumed functioning at 117 locations spread across Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
As per the break-up provided in the press release PRS resumed functioning in 87 locations in Odisha, 23 in Andhra Pradesh and 07 in Chhattisgarh.
Under ECoR’s Khurda Road Division a total of 39 PRS locations resumed functioning out of these 36 are located in Odisha while 3 are in Andhra Pradesh.
Similarly, under Waltair Division PRS has resumed functioning in 30 locations, out of which o6 are located in Odisha, 20 in Andhra Pradesh and 04 in Chhattisgarh.
Besides, under Sambalpur Division PRS has resumed functioning in 48 locations, 45 in Odisha and 03 in Chhattisgarh.
Resumption of ticket booking through CSCs marked an important step in the graded restoration of passenger railway services and making the task of ticket booking easy for all prospective travellers from all parts of India in reserved trains.
