Retired ACSO From Sambalpur Gets 2-Yrs RI In DA Case

Bhubaneswar: A Special Vigilance Court in Bargarh on Monday convicted Jibardhan Seth, a retired Assistant Civil Supplies Officer (ACSO) from Sambalpur, in a disproportionate assets (DA) case filed under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

Seth, who had been charge-sheeted by the Odisha Vigilance for amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income, was sentenced to two years of rigorous imprisonment (RI) along with a fine.

Following the conviction, Odisha Vigilance has announced that it will move the competent authority to stop the pension benefits of the former officer.
