Bhubaneswar: A retired ANM supervisor was allegedly found murdered at her home at Gadiajora village under Dharamgarh police limits in Kalahandi district. The incident happened late Sunday night when she was alone at home.
The deceased, retired ANM supervisor, has been identified as Suchitra Khuntia (60).
According to reports, the assailants broke into her house, looted her valuables, before killing her. The culprits escaped on her scooter but dumped it on the Biju Express Highway when it ran out of petrol.
It is learnt that Khuntia’s husband and son are currently out of town.
Meanwhile, the Dharamgarh police have launched an investigation, aided by a sniffer dog and a forensic team. Police also sent the body for a post-mortem.
