Balasore: A 65-year-old retired headmaster was found dead in his locked room in Nuahat village under Soro block in Balasore, on Wednesday.
The deceased identified as, Banamali Sahu, had a history of family disputes with his son.
According to reports, Sahu went to sleep in his room after having dinner on Tuesday night. However, when Sahu did not wake up and open the door for long hours in the next morning, local residents informed the police. Soro police team arrived at the scene and broke open the door to find Sahu’s body lying inside.
While allegations point towards foul play by his son due to domestic disputes, preliminary investigations by the police suggest otherwise.
However, the exact cause of death will be determined after the post-mortem report is received. Police investigation is underway to unravel the circumstances surrounding Sahu’s death.
