Bhubaneswar: Vigilance sleuths today apprehended Revenue Inspector of Balarmpur Circle in Jajpur, for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000.
Sushanta Kumar Swain accepted the bribe to submit a verification report in a land mutation case. Vigilance officials recovered and seized the entire amount from Swain.
Simultaneous searches are underway at Swain’s two locations to uncover disproportionate assets.
A case has been registered under Section 7 of the PC (Amendment) Act, 2018, at Cuttack Vigilance PS. Investigation is underway.
