Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Monday apprehended Manoj Kumar Mahananda, Revenue Inspector of Jamankira in Sambalpur district on charges of demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 9000 from a complainant.
As per a complaint lodged with the Vigilance, Mahananda had demanded the said amount from the complainant for preparing the field verification report for partition of the ancestral landed property of the latter.
The entire bribe money has been recovered from Mahananda and seized. A case in this regard has been registered at Sambalpur Vigilance Police Station. Further investigation is underway.
