Bhubaneswar: A revenue supervisor in Bhadrak district has been suspended for dereliction of duty during cyclone Dana.
Bhadrak District Collector issued the suspension order directing Bikash Kumar Das, stationed at Tihidi tehsil in Bhadrak, to report to the Additional District Magistrate’s office during the suspension period. He has also been instructed not to leave headquarters without permission.
Disciplinary action was taken against Das for reportedly misbehaving with superior officers in an inebriated condition and not following their instructions during the cyclone.
Previously, the Odisha government had suspended four government employees including three Panchayat Extension Officers (PEOs) and one Revenue Inspector (RI) for being rude to people during Cyclone Dana.
