Bhadrak: A Revenue Inspector (RI) was allegedly assaulted inside his office under Chandabali tehsil in Bhadrak district on Wednesday.
As per reports, Sarana Revenue Inspector Tapas Ranjan Jena was busy doing office work when a youth identified as Subash Das, son of Sarbeswar Das, entered the office and asked Jena to do some illegal work
The incident occurred when the youth, Subash Das, son of Sarbeshwar Das of Jagannathpur village, entered the office and asked Jena to do some illegal work. When Jena refused, Das reportedly attacked the former. He reportedly dragged the RI out of the office room and assaulted him in front of others present at the office. The incident, captured on CCTV, has gone viral.
Jena was subsequently rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Jena has, meanwhile, filed a complaint with Chandbali police and Tehsildar Bhabatosh Mallik who has assured strict action against the accused.
