Cuttack: Raising people’s hopes with another tall promise, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that the Bharatiya Janata Party will provide food articles at Re 1 to poor people if voted to power in Odisha.
Addressing a Vijay Sankalp Sabha at Choudwar-Cuttack Assembly Constituency in Cuttack, Pradhan said, “In Re 1, people will get 5 kg rice, 500 grams dal and 500 grams salt. Nearly 3.26 crore beneficiaries under National Food Security Scheme will be benefited.”
He also said that the salary of Anganwadi teachers will be increased to Rs 15,000 per month and promised metro connectivity in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Choudwar.
He also said confidently that BJP will form government both in Indian and Odisha this time. It is notable to mention here that the ruling BJD has formed government in Odisha for four consecutive times and it won 20/21 seats during 2014 Lok Sabha elections. On the other hand, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has already announced that BJD will win all 21 seats this time and play kingmaker at the Centre.
