Cuttack: The Cuttack district administration has introduced rickshaw services during the Baliyatra for visitors. This will be an initiative for restricting pollution in and around the Baliyatra grounds and limit the movement of vehicles.
Today a camp was organised for registration of the rickshaw pullers where their blood grouping and basic medical tests were conducted. They were gifted registration cards and a traditional t-shirt symbolising the Baliyatra festival.
The route chart of these rickshaws is being discussed by the authorities. Sources said, they will ferry visitors from different parks of the city to the main entrance of Baliyatra grounds.
