Bhubaneswar: The celebration of holy Mahashivratri is underway at the capital-based Lingaraj temple. In view of the heavy influx of visitors, the temple authorities have made elaborate arrangements.
The 11th Century temple is going through a major facelifting process and the city administration has made sure that the devotees do not face any kind of problem. The area is manned by 30 platoons of police force and 100 senior officers for crowd control inside and outside the temple. Barricades in addition to shades have been erected for devotes making a beeline for a visit to Lord Lingaraj.

Mangala Alati & Abakash Niti: 3:00 – 3:30 am
Sahanamela Darshan: 3.30 am – 11 am
Mahasnan & Besa: 12:00 – 12:45 pm
Surya Puja & Sakala Dhupa: 12:45 – 2:30 pm
Sahanamela Darshan: 3.45 – 4:45 pm
Srijewnka Sandhya Dhupa & Tirthajala Anayana: 8:55 – 10:00 pm
Mahadipa Darshan: 10:00 pm
Harihara Bheta: 3:30 – 4:30 am
