Road Mishaps: 2 Sisters Killed During Morning Walk In Keonjhar, 20 Bus Passengers Injured In Kalahandi

Keonjhar/Kalahandi: Two women were killed and over 20 persons were injured in separate road mishaps across Odisha on Monday morning.

In Keonjhar, two sisters were killed after being hit by a truck near Sadar Police Station. The deceased have been Nibedita Das (45) and Pankajini Das (55) of Raisuan village. Reportedly, the incident occured when the two sisters were taking a morning walk.

On intimation, cops reached the spot and began a probe into the incident. A police team chased the truck and managed to nab the driver near Banajodi Toll Gate. The bodies were sent to District Headquarter Hospital for post-mortem.

In another mishap, over 20 passengers were injured when a bus en route Kesinga from Shastiguda overturned near Rajamunda under Jayapatna police limits in Kalahandi. Fire Services personnel rushed the injured persons to Jayapatna hospital for treatment.
