Road Mishaps Leave Three Dead, Two Injured In Nuapada & Keonjhar

Bhubaneswar: At least three persons were killed and two sustained severe injuries in two separate road mishaps in Nuapada and Keonjhar districts.

As per reports, two bikers were killed while two others received serious injuries after being mowed down by an unidentified vehicle near Jamukhunta village under Sindhekela police limits in Nauapada district.

The deceased have been identified as Naresh Majhi and his relative. On the other hand, the other two bikers identified as Kadam Majhi and Ghanashyam Majhi were rushed to VSS Medical College and Hospital in critical condition.

All the bikers Naresh, Kadam, Ghanasyam and their relative belonged to Kalkuta village under Bangomunda block in Bolangir district and were on their way home after attending a marriage feast on Tuesday late night when they met with the fatal mishap. Naresh Majhi and his relative died on the spot.

Upon being informed, police seized the bodies of the bikers killed in the mishap and initiated a probe into it.

In a separate incident, a person died after being hit by an unknown vehicle on Baunsuli-Ukhunda Road under Turumunga police limits in Keonjhar district late Monday night.

The deceased has not been identified for which the body was still lying on the accident site.
