Bhubaneswar: An elderly woman was trampled to death by a rogue elephant at Sana Indupur under Koida Forest Range on Wednesday night.
According to reports, the victim has been identified as Shivaram Badaikabu. Shivaram was asleep inside his house when the elephant dragged him out and trampled him to death.
The incident has sparked tension in the local community, with residents demanding immediate action to drive the elephant away from the area. Till the last report came in, the forest department team has not yet reached the spot and the body was lying at the scene.
