**Sambalpur/New Delhi: ** The much-awaited extension of Rourkela-Jammu Tawi Express to Sambalpur railway station was flagged off on Saturday through video conferencing by Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu from New Delhi.
Notably, the regular train service in this extended portion will begin from August 13, as per railway sources.
As per railway sources, 18109 Sambalpur-Jammu Tawi Link Express will leave Sambalpur at 0745 hrs everyday and reach at Jammu Tawi at 1410 hrs the next day.
On this extended portion, the stoppages are at the railway stations of Jharsuguda, Bamra and Rajgangpur between Sambalpur and Rourkela while the existing timings and stoppages for this train between Rourkela and Jammu Tawi stations will remain unchanged, the railway sources informed.
On the other side, the train will leave Jammu Tawi at 1425 hrs every day and will reach Sambalpur at 1745 hrs on third day.
