Bhubaneswar: The Special Task Force (STF) of Crime Branch with the help of Sambalpur Police on Tuesday seized fake currency notes of around Rs 15 lakh at Nua Adhapada village under Jujumara police limits in Sambalpur district.
On the basis of reliable information, STF with the help of Sambalpur District Police detected a case of illegal business of Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) at the village. As a result of which two accused persons namely Podar Prasad Sahu, S/o. Late Krutibash Sahu of Nua Adhapada, and Janmajaya Bagh, S/o. Late Jhumar Bagh of Burda were apprehended.
During search, Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) of Rs 15,12,500, two Laptops, One Color Printer and other incriminating articles were recovered and seized from their possession.
A case has been registered at Jujumara Police Station for necessary legal action and further investigation is on.
