Bhubaneswar: The State Government received 286 investment intentions worth Rs 6,26,349,53 crores and promising 7,29,486 employment potential from the desirous industrial houses during the flagship initiative of Make In Odisha (MIO) Conclaves organized in 2016 and 2018.
Responding to a question posed by Jaleswar BJD legislator Aswini Kumar Patra, Odisha Industries Minister Dibya Shankar Mishra informed the House today that 286 investment intentions have been received during the Make In Odisha (MIO) Conclaves organized in 2016 and 2018 with an investment amount of Rs 6,26,349,53 crores and 7,29,486 employment potential.
While 84 investment intentions were received during MIO 2016, the investment amount was Rs 2,03,235,00 crores with 1,37,634 employment potential, he added.
Similarly, 202 investment intentions were received during MIO 2018 while the investment amount was Rs 4,23,114,53 crores with 5,91,847 employment potential, he further informed.
The Industries Minister also apprised the House that 154 big industries were accorded seal of approval by the State Government’s Single Window Clearance System (SWCS) out of the 286 investment proposals.
Out of the green-signalled big ticket industries, the works of 92 projects are underway at various stages, the Assembly was told today.
Besides, 11 projects have already been commissioned and are either partly or fully functional, averred the Odisha Industries Minister adding that the 11 projects have 1368 employment potential.
He further added that rest 81 big industrial projects are under implementation at various stages promising 2,24,741 employment potential.
