RT-PCR Test Mandatory For People Visiting Odisha From Other States: Naba Das

Bhubaneswar: RT-PCR test is mandatory for people visiting Odisha from other States, and people arriving without RT-PCR test report have to undergo seven days quarantine, said Health & Family Welfare Department Minister Naba Kisore Das on Thursday.

While urging all to follow Covid-19 norms, Das said that no decision has been taken to enforce lockdown in the State. District authorities have been instructed to remain in readiness for functionalisation of Dedicated Covid Care Centers (DCCCs).

Das informed that he had yesterday in a letter to Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan has asked to facilitate the supply of 25 lakh doses or ten days stock of Covishield vaccine to Odisha immediately.

He further said that the vaccination will be stopped from Saturday if the doses do not arrive by today evening. Stating that there will be talks between the Chief Minister and the Prime Minister today he hoped that the Chief Minister will demand the vaccine.
