Bhubaneswar: State Transport Commissioner Sanjeeb Panda on Tuesday instructed to add all RTO offices, Driving Testing Tracks and PUC Centres to Google Map.
In a letter to all Deputy Commissioner Transport, RTOs, ARTOs and Additional RTOs, Panda stated that while RTO offices are providing various citizen-centric services to the people, the citizens find it difficult to locate the offices and driving testing tracks.
“Adding the location of RTO offices and driving testing tracks to Google map will help the citizens to easily locate our office and track,” he added.
In view of this he instructed them to add their office and driving testing tracks to Google map. Panda asked them to claim that location to post replies and add few photographs of the concerned office.
He also asked to share the Google location link in the LL and DL appointment for the benefit of the citizen.
In yet another letter, Panda advised all RTOs, ARTOs and Additional RTOs to issue instructions to all PUC Centres operating in their jurisdiction to add the Centres in Google Map so that vehicle owner can easily find the nearest PUC Centre using the same.
PUC Centres should claim that location on Google map and mention the opening hours of business, he added.
Panda also asked the RTOs, ARTOs and Additional RTOs to submit the Google location link of all the PUC Centres operating in their jurisdiction so that it can be uploaded in the departmental website.
