Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Assembly was adjourned till 4.00 pm on Friday following pandemonium over the fake certificate and Kotia border dispute issues.
Soon after the House assembled today at 10.30 am, opposition BJP and Congress members raised the fake certificate and Kotia border issues. They trooped into the Well of the House shouting slogans against the government and demanding that the state government issue statements on these two issues.
While Leader of Opposition Jaynarayan Mishra alleged that the government was hand-in-glove with the accused in the fake certificate case, Congress leader Narsingha Mishra also targeted the state government over the issue during the Zero Hour.
Meanwhile, senior BJD leader Arun Sahoo accused BJP and Congress leaders of creating drama over the Kotia issue. The Central government has been informed about the issue several times, but no step has so far been taken to resolve the matter, he said.
Following this, DJD legislators too rushed into the Well and started sloganeering against the Opposition members.
As the situation worsened, Speaker Bikram Keshari Arukha adjourned the House till 4.00 pm.
