However, the melancholy did not last long as the piece of information posted on Facebook on Tuesday night, turned out to be fake.
On Thursday, a youth who claimed to have planted the news on Facebook, apologised before Jayee at his residence in Cuttack City.
Speaking to OMMCOM NEWS, the veteran comedian said, “The boy is a young lad aged about 22 years. He claimed to be my ardent fan and sincerely apologised for the tongue-in-cheek remark, which he said, was unintentional.”
