Bhubaneswar: After a break of 2 years, SAI International is back with its Global Immersion Programme (GIP) for its students. Two group of students have left for United Kingdom. The first group left on Sunday, September 18, 2022, to attend the Round Square International Conference from September 19 – 25, 2022 for a conference at Oxford.
The other group left for UK on September 19- 30, 2022 with 40 students from both SAI International School and SAI International Residential School along with 4 teacher coordinators.
SAI International School is one of 56 schools from South Asia and the Gulf Region attending along with another 172 schools from all over the world. Delegates will spend three days at Oxford University and stay at St Anne’s college and then Latymer Upper school in London. At London they will join the Global Immersion Programme (GIP) UK group of another 44 students and teachers.
During the conference they will have the opportunity attending keynotes by renowned personalities such as Ben Fogle is an award-winning Broadcaster and adventurer, Emily Penn is an oceans advocate, skipper and artist, Sir Dieter Helm is Professor of Economic Policy at the University of Oxford and Fellow in Economics at New College, Oxford and many more. They will also take part in baraza breakouts sessions with delegates from all over the world. SAI International students are excited to represent not only SAI International School at such prominent event but also India.
The GIP students will be exploring UK in the span of 10 days as well as they will be visiting King’s College Cambridge. The GIP was the brainchild of late Dr Bijaya Kumar Sahoo Founder-Chairman, SAI International, he always dreamt ofbuilding responsible global citizen of tomorrow who identify themselves with the emerging cross border communities and whose laudable actions contributes to build a better world to live in.
Through GIPs, he promoted internationalism and skills of leadership, adaptability, and communication with social and interpersonal skills in children.
