Samaleswari Express Mishap: Railway Safety Commissioner To Hold Inquiry

Bhubaneswar: On June 28 (Friday), the Commissioner of Railway Safety, North Frontier Circle, Kolkata, RK Sharma will hold a statutory inquiry into the Samaleswari Express mishap in which three railway personnel were killed. The inquiry will be held at the Officer’s rest house of East Coast Railway near Rayagada railway station.

The incident occurred on Tuesday after the Howrah-Jagdalpur Samaleswari express collided with a tower car between SINGAPUR ROAD – A cabin and KEUTIGUDA railway stations.

In a press note the ECoR stated, “Any member of the public having knowledge relating to this accident and matters connected therewith and desirous of giving evidence may do so at the above place on the date of inquiry or write to “The Commissioner of Railway Safety, north frontier circle, new koilaghat building, 14 strand road, (12th floor), kolkata, 700001.”
