Bhubaneswar: With no sign of relief from the prevailing heat wave across Odisha, Sambalpur was the hottest place in the state at 41°C at 11.30 AM on Wednesday followed by Jharsuguda at 40.6°C.
The day temperature at Bhubaneswar and Hirakud was also 30°C and 39.8°C respectively.
Three locations in the state recorded temperatures above 36°C – Balasore (38.2°C), Chandbali (36.8°C), Gopalpur (36.6°C) and Keonjhar (36.4°C).
Pilgrim City Puri recorded the maximum day temperature of 35.8 Chandbali (36.8°C), Gopalpur (36.6°C), and Keonjhar (36.4°C) at 11.30 am, while the mercury soared to 34.2 Chandbali (36.8°C), Gopalpur (36.6°C) and Keonjhar (36.4°C) in Paradip.
