Bhubaneswar: Even as the heat-wave condition continues to singe Odisha, there seems to be no sign of relief. According to the regional office of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) here, Sambalpur was the hottest place in the state on Wednesday with 41°C at 11.30 am.
Sambalpur was followed by Jharsuguda (39.6°C) and Hirakud (39.6°C) while the day temperatures recorded at 11.30 am at other centers were Chandbali (39°C), Bhubaneswar (38.2°C), Keonjhar (38.2°C) Balasore (35.4°C), Puri (33.6°C) Gopalpur 33°C) and Paradip (32.8°C).
According to the IMD, the heat-wave conditions will prevail in the state for the next four days. The weather office has advised people to remain indoors between 11.00 am and 3.00 pm and not venture out unless it is unavoidable.
