Bhubaneswar: Sleuths of Odisha Vigilance on Wednesday nabbed Satyanarayan Kaudi, Revenue Inspector (RI), Gochhara under Kuchinda Block in Sambalpur district for allegedly demanding and accepting Rs 5,000 bribe.
According to reports, Kaudi had demanded Rs 5,000 bribe from a complainant to submit an enquiry report related to his land in a mutation case to Kuchinda Tahasildar for issuance of ROR (patta) in the latter’s favour. Vigilance has recovered the entire bribe amount of Rs 5,000 from Kaudi’s possession and seized it.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are underway at three locations of Kaudi from the disproportionate asset (DA) angle.
The Sambalpur Vigilance P.S. has registered a case (No.05 dated 15.02.2023) under Section 7 P.C. (Amendment) Act, 2018. An investigation is in progress against the accused Kaudi.
