Bhubaneswar: Sambalpur has turned into a fortress with at least 43 platoons force deployed in and around the city. While the district administration has imposed a curfew (until further orders), internet services have been shut for another 48 hours, Collector Ananya Das said.
Speaking to media persons on Saturday, Das urged people to shun rumours and apprise the administration of any false and fabricated news being spread in any form.
The Collector said, “During the curfew, all essential services such as District Administration, Police, Fire, Medical, Municipal will function. Since there is an exam tomorrow, we will take a decision on it soon.”
