Sambalpur Youth Stabbed To Death Over Past Enmity, Accused Arrested

Bhubaneswar: A youth was stabbed to death allegedly over past enmity at Orampada village under Dhanupali police station limits in Sambalpur district on Wednesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Md Rinku. The incident took place around 8 am when miscreants attacked him with sharp weapons. He was rushed to Sambalpur District Headquarters Hospital (DHH), where doctors declared him brought dead.

Rinku’s father stated that he was informed about the attack while he was at work. His younger son rushed to the spot and took Rinku to the hospital.

Police have registered a case and launched an investigation. Inspector General of Police (Northern Range), Sambalpur, Himansu Kumar Lal, stated that the accused has been apprehended and the weapon used in the crime has been seized. Scientific investigations are ongoing.
