Puri: On the occasion of “Mother’s Day”, sand artist Manas Kumar Sahoo sculpted a piece on the golden beach of Puri, close to the Light House.
A portrait bearing ‘A Mother and her child’ was carved out of sand by Sahoo to mark the special day, signifying the bond of pure love between a mother and her child.
Mother is the most beautiful creation of God. She loves her child unconditionally. She deserves to be loved each and every day and not just on Mother’s Day, Sahoo tries to convey through the art.
It took Sahoo about seven hours to be sculpt the sand art. Total 12 tonnes of sand was used to make the art which is 12 feet wide and reads: “HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY”!
