Puri: On the eve of World Tourism Day, Odia sand artists created beautiful figures on Puri beach on Monday. Renowned sand artist Manas Kumar Sahoo put his best efforts to promote Odisha’s art and culture. He sculpted a replica of the Konark Temple with sand.
This sand sculpture is 3 feet wide and about 3 quintals of sand was used in sculpting it. The sculpture had a message – ‘Welcome to Odisha’ and ‘World Tourism Day’.
Students of Sudarshan Sand Art Institute, guided by International sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik created classic sculptures with on the golden beach of Puri.
Similarly, the Ministry of Tourism, Bhubaneswar office is also celebrating the World Tourism Day 2022 at various tourist destinations of the State with quiz, painting, rangoli, heritage walk, and sand art.
