Bhubaneswar: Renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik paid tribute to former President Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan on Teachers’ Day by creating a sand sculpture on Puri beach on Friday.
As a Padma Shri awardee, Pattnaik expressed his respect for all teachers, saying, “Today, as we celebrate Teachers’ Day, I pay tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan through this art. I extend my deepest respect to all teachers on this special day.”
Pattnaik is known for his thought-provoking sand art, often incorporating messages on various themes such as environmental awareness, health, and national pride.
Notably, Sarvepalli was a multifaceted individual renowned as a scholar, politician, philosopher, and statesman. His significant contributions include serving as India’s inaugural Vice President and subsequently as its second President. His birth anniversary is celebrated as ‘Teacher’s Day’ across the country.
