Bhubaneswar: Renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has created a stunning sand sculpture of Lord Jagannath on Puri’s Blue Flag Beach to welcome the New Year 2026.
The sculpture is adorned with flowers, and tourists visiting Puri Jagannath Dham can take darshan of Mahaprabhu Jagannath ji on the seashore.
Pattnaik, taking to his X handle, wrote: “Jai Jagannath. The first sunrise of 2026 over the sacred shores of Mahodadhi, Puri beach. A divine beginning in the holy land of Maha Prabhu Jagannath.”
He said, “We have made a huge sculpture of Mahaprabhu Jagannath ji. It has been installed with flowers, and all the tourists who have come to Puri Jagannath Dham for the New Year can take darshan of Mahaprabhu Jagannath ji here on the seashore.”
