Bhubaneswar: Two Odia litterateurs have been selected to receive the Kendra Sahitya Akademi awards for the year 2024. Sanjay Kumar Panda will get the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar while Manas Ranjan Samal has been selected for Kendra Sahitya Akademi Bal Sahitya Puraskar.
It was announced by the Kendra Sahitya Akademi after its executive body meeting on Saturday.
Samal’s short stories book- ‘Gapa Kalika’ was selected for Bal Sahitya Puraskar. Similarly, Panda will receive the coveted award for his book- ‘Hu Baia’, a collection of Odia short stories.
