Bhubaneswar: Senior IAS officer Sanjay Kumar Singh on Tuesday took charge as Commissioner of Commercial Taxes & GST, Odisha.
Singh was accorded a welcome at the GST and Commercial Taxes Commissionerate in Cuttack by officials including Special Commissioners Manabhanjan Acharya and Kunja Bihari Panda, and Additional Commissioners Banita Das, Sadashiv Panda, Dipankar Sahoo, and Nihar Ranjan Nayak.
He held a brief meeting with the team and discussed important matters related to GST and Commercial Taxes. On the occasion, Singh said that officials and staff need to work keeping the reforms in GST sector in mind. This would yield positive results, he added.
On August 27, the State Government effected an IAS reshuffle in which Singh who is currently the Secretary of Rural Development and I&PR Departments was given additional charge of Commissioner of Commercial Taxes & GST, Odisha.
Singh is also holding the additional charge of Vice-Chairman of Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) and Managing Director of Bhubaneswar Smart City Ltd.
