Bhubaneswar: The Director of Medical Education and Training (DMET) has directed the authorities of SCB Medical College to rusticate senior resident doctor of the Cardiology Department who is accused of raping two women patients in the name of treatment.
Santosh Kumar Mishra, Director of Medical Education and Training (DMET) said that the principal of SCB Medical College has been directed to rusticate the accused doctor.
“The Principal of SCB Medical College has been served a letter, asking him to rusticate the accused doctor. The letter was sent on the basis of the report of the inquiry committee,” said Mishra.
The investigations corroborated the accused doctor’s involvement, with no evidence of conspiracy or false implication,” clarified the DMET.
Senior resident doctor of Cardiology Department Dilbag Singh Thakur allegedly sexually assaulted two women patients in ECG room. The accused doctor was arrested after relatives of the patients lodged complaint at Mangalabag police station.
