School Transformation In Odisha Kick Starts From Hinjili, CM Dedicates 10 Schools To The People

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government’s ambitious school transformation work kick-started from Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s home constituency Hinjili. Transformation work in 50 schools of Hinjili has been completed under the 5T Initiative, said an official press release.

In the first phase, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik dedicated ten transformed schools to the people.

On the occasion, special programmes were organised in all the ten schools in which Ministers, MLAs, Sarpanches, Panchayat Samiti Members, alumni of the schools, students, guardians and the general public participated.

Inaugurating the programme through the virtual platform, the Chief Minister stated that each child is the symbol of infinite possibilities.

“Each child has several dreams for the future, to fulfil these dreams transformation has brought an opportunity. With the fulfilment of dreams of the children shall be fulfilled the target of a new Odisha,” said the Chief Minister describing the transformation as the foundation of a new Odisha.

“School is the best time in everyone’s life. This transformation is for you. For your future and to build you as the best this will create several opportunities,” Patnaik told the children.

The Chief Minister stated that this transformation work which was started in Hinjili has shown the way to the entire State.

In the first phase 1070 schools will be transformed across the State, the Chief Minister informed.

Speaking about 5T Initiative, Patnaik said that the transformation of schools is our classic example of 5T programme.

He said Technology, Teamwork, Time, Transparency & Transformation are the five components of 5T.  This has made the transformation possible.

“While Technology has provided us with Smart Class Room, e-Library, Computer and Modern Laboratory, the effort by all of us is Teamwork. Starting with panchayat representatives, school management committee, teachers, alumni, administration, guardians, local public all have worked together for this. The third component of 5T is Time.  I had given a target to the administration to complete the transformation of 50 schools of Hinjili-Seragada by August 15. Work started six months back and was completed before the schedule. This has been possible due to our sincerity and commitment. Another important component of 5T is Transparency.  Whatever transformation has taken place in the schools has been done after discussion with the people. People are aware of starting with the Vision Document to expenditure incurred. They have also supervised the work. Transparency is the most powerful force of 5T,” the Chief Minister said.

The programme was moderated by Secretary to CM (5T) VK Pandian.

Chief Secretary, senior officers and Collectors of different districts attended the programme.
