**Bhubaneswar:** Former Odisha cadre IAS officer Sangram Keshari Ray on Monday appeared before the CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) officials in connection with the Seashore Chit Fund scam here. However, the other summoned bureaucrat Parag Gupta has not yet appeared.
The investigating agency had summoned Ray and Parag Gupta on Sunday in connection with the Seashore chit fund case and asked them to appear before it.
Gupta is on central deputation and presently posted as joint secretary in Ministry of Food Processing Industries.
Notably, when the Odisha government had signed an MoU with Seashore Group, Gupta was posted as secretary of Tourism department while Ray was working as the General Manager of Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC)
