**Bhubaneswar**: Come November 27, skating, yoga, drawing, painting, classical music and lots of fun will once again rule the streets of the Odisha capital as the decks are cleared for the second edition of Raahgiri.
This was informed by Odisha Tourism and Culture Minister Ashok Panda on Friday.
“We had temporarily stopped hosting Raahgiri owing to monsoon for two months. The second edition of the much popular event will begin this November 27. This time we will include new themes every week that were not covered in the first edition of Raahgiri,” Panda said.
Apart from Panda, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena, Bhubaneswar North MLA Priyadarshi Mishra, BMC Commissioner and BDA vice chairman Krishan Kumar, Tourism and Culture secretary Gagan Dhal and Tourism director Nitin Jawale were present at the meeting.
The Raahgiri day, which started from January 17 this year and was observed on 27 Sundays after then, was suspended as rainfall during the monsoon acted as a major barrier in mass gathering.
Raahgiri is being celebrated to free a stretch of the city from motorized transport for four hours. The BDA has selected Master Canteen to Ram Mandir for the purpose. From 6.30 am to 10.30 am, the road will be out of bound for motorists.
