Bhubaneswar: The Higher Education Department on Monday released the second merit list for Phase-I admissions into postgraduate (PG) courses.
According to an official press release, candidates selected under the “Freeze” option are required to pay the admission fees online between June 23, 2025 (6 pm) and June 26, 2025 (3 pm). After payment, they must download the intimation letter and report to their allotted Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) between June 24 and June 26, 2025, from 10 am to 5 pm to complete admission formalities.
A total of 121 HEIs participated in the admission process, comprising 20 universities and 101 colleges. The total sanctioned seat strength stands at 31,154.

- Applicants who completed choice locking: 41,288
- Students selected in the 1st round: 22,226
- Students admitted in the 1st round: 7,874
- Students who opted for Slide/Float in the 1st round: 8,224
- Students selected in the 2nd round: 7,529
- Male students selected: 2,356
- Female students selected: 5,173
- Transgender students selected: 0
Candidates who opt for the “Slide” or “Float” option must pay the admission fees online and await the 3rd round of selection.
Applicants who chose “Slide” or “Float” during the 1st round but have not been allotted their preferred HEIs in the 2nd round are not required to take any action in this round and should wait for the 3rd round selection process.
