Bhadrak: Section 144 was clamped in and around the premises of a Ganesh Puja mandap at Bedpur village under Dhamnagar police limits in Bhadrak district following a group clash late Tuesday night.
Reportedly, while the preparations for Ganesh Puja were underway at Bajpayee Club at Bedpur yesterday evening, a clash broke out between two groups. Some anti-social youths even brandished sharp weapons in front of Dhamnagar Tehsildar.
Following the incident, Bhadrak Sub-Collector clamped Section 144 in the area till September 2. A Police force has been deployed in the area to keep a close watch on the situation. Meanwhile, both groups have decided to worship Lord Ganesh in different temples.
